Curriculum Vitae and Personal Statement

The Number One Reason Why You Don't Get An Interview: A Poorly Structured and Written CV and Personal Statement.

The importance of a curriculum vitae should never be underestimated - it is a key matching tool - and it is a prime opportunity to display your achievements clearly and positively.

Items to include on your curriculum vitae:

1. Length and presentation: Ideally 2 pages in a clear typeface.

2. Personal data: Name, address, telephone number and email.

3. Education: Highest, most relevant qualification first and most detail. Include dates and institutions and professional examinations passed,

4. Career history: Most recent position first. Highlight specific achievements. Illustrate key strengths through example.

5. Languages: Only mention languages in which you are proficient.

6. Interests: Intellectual and physical, group and individual.
